Officials say severe weather spawned at least one tornado that damaged several homes in rural Central Texas, including one that was lifted off its foundation. Science and operations manager Jon Zeitler with the National Weather Service says a confirmed tornado tracked across Burnet County Thursday night. It touched down near Briggs and traveled southwest toward Bertram. Burnet County Emergency Management Coordinator Jim Barho says first responders reported that a roof was torn off one house and another home was lifted off its foundation to about 150 yards away. He says only minor injuries were reported, and no one required medical attention.
