02/25/2021 - Another night of fire on Etna which erupted a few hours ago with incandescent fountains hundreds of meters high.
Always erupting the southern crater of the volcano, for days the giant continues to roar and make a show. Experts have defined the magma that escapes from the eruptive vents "primitive" whose composition is similar to that of the magmas that originate in the mantle.
In other words, when a volcano erupts, the magma, rising up, can remain stationary in some points and vary its characteristics.
The magma of these weeks instead undergoes less changes because it tends to rise very quickly, consequently it is rich in gas and generates very intense paroxysms with very high fountains.
