An earthquake of magnitude 5.0 shook the Solomon Islands on Saturday, confirmed the United States Geological Survey. The quake hit about 30 miles east-southeast of Gizo, the capital of the western province in the Solomon Islands on Ghizo Island.
An earthquake of magnitude 5.9 occurred on Sunday near the southwest Indian Ridge in the Indian Ocean, according to the United States Geological Survey (USGS), Sputnik reported.
The quake was recorded at 10:46:19 UTC. The epicenter of the quake was located at a depth of 10 kilometers, about 1,000 kilometers from the French overseas department of RĂ©union.
An earthquake of 5.3 magnitude shook central Greece today said the national observatory, with no immediate reports of damage.
