SCIENTISTS WILL DRILL THE CRATER CAUSED BY THE ASTEROID THAT EXTINCT DINOSAURS

A team of scientists from the University of Texas and the Institute of Geophysics of Mexico will drill off the Yucatan Peninsula where 66 million years agofell a giant asteroid that changed the course of history of the planet.

In fact, scientists hope to collect fragments of past life on the planet, a kind of time travel back to try to decipher how was the land before the big impact. The morphology of the territory shows how the impact of celestial body created a crater with a diameter of 10 km and sprigiono ' tsunamis and earthquakes that projected sediments and remains of that lost world for nearly all of Central America.
