Anna Maria Taigi, beatified in 1920 by Pope Benedict XV , was a womanendowed by God with extraordinary gifts, among which is that of prophecy. After a difficult childhood,he married in 1789 and had seven children, of which only 4 survived. Converting he arrived shortly later of his marriage, and God gave her the gift of a sun with inside a crown of thorns, which accompanied her for 47 years.
In this sun Anna Maria saw the evil and the good, the present and the future, the inmost soul of the people. He began to externalize his prophecies about men and women who had never experienced live, but which looked the future in its sun. None of his predictions proved unfounded, and predicted well in advance events such as the date and time of his death, the defeat of Napoleon in Russia, Algeria taken by the French army, freedom for American slaves , falls and ascents of entire European countries, epidemics, various natural scourges, the death of Napoleon at St. Helena, the appointment of John Mastai Ferretti Pope, Pius IX, who at that time was not even a cardinal.
the reputation this gift gave her attracted to her a crowd of faithful who asked to know their future, and advice on how to modify it. His response, after the prophecies, was only one: prayer and repentance. But the most famous of his prophecies he has not yet come true:
"God will send two punishments: one will be in the form of wars, revolutions and other evils; It will originate on earth. The other will be sent from Heaven. It will be on the earth the immense darkness that will last three days and three nights. Nothing will be visible and the air will be harmful and pestilential and will bring harm, though not exclusively the enemies of religion.
During these three days, the artificial light will be impossible; They will burn only the blessed candles. During these days of awe, the faithful will have to stay in their homes to pray the rosary and ask for mercy to God. All the enemies of the church (visible and unknown) will perish on the earth during that universal darkness, alone excepted those few that turn.
The 'air will be haunted by demons who will appear under all sorts of hideous forms. After the three days of darkness, San Pedro and San Pablo [...] designate a new Pope. Then Christianity will spread throughout the world. "
The precision with which the Blessed has always described events not yet happened, and promptly made, it leaves no doubt that what Anna Maria Taigi says about the three days of darkness on earth actually happen . In the same vision, with less great detail, refer other blesseds and saints of the Catholic Church, such as St. Gaspar del Bufalo, Blessed Mary of Jesus Crucified, Blessed Elizabeth Canori Mora.
Visions confirmed by many passages from the Bible. This requires a healthy rethinking of everything that takes us away from the grace of the Lord, because at the moment of reckoning death we are not unprepared.
